About Equdash
Making private equity ownership as easy to track as a bank account.
If you hold equity in a private company — as an early employee with EMI options, a founder or member of the management team, a non-executive director or advisory board member building stakes across several businesses, or an angel investor — you know the problem already. The information that matters is scattered: a share certificate in one folder, an option agreement in another, vesting dates you’re keeping track of in your head. There’s no single place that shows you what you actually own, what it’s worth, or what’s coming up.
Equdash brings all of that together. Upload your investment certificates, option agreements or other documents, and Equdash pulls out the key details automatically — company, scheme type, dates, values — instead of you typing it all in by hand. From there you get one view of your holdings, your vesting schedules and exercise windows, your SEIS/EIS holding periods, and the dates that actually need your attention. No more hunting for a share certificate or trying to remember when an option vests.
Why we built it
Private-company equity doesn’t behave like a normal investment. There’s no brokerage account that shows you everything you hold. Valuations shift between funding rounds. Options carry vesting schedules and exercise windows that catch people out. Reliefs like EMI, SEIS and EIS come with genuinely intricate qualifying conditions and holding periods, and the material explaining them is either scattered or written for professionals, not for the person actually holding the shares.
Spreadsheets work fine when you have one or two holdings. They stop working the moment your portfolio grows — and most people managing meaningful equity shouldn’t need a finance background to understand what they own.
Built by people who understand equity
Equdash is built by a UK tax specialist and a corporate lawyer as co-founders — a combination of tax and corporate law expertise that shapes how Equdash is built: not just software for storing documents, but a product designed around how these schemes actually work in practice, and where people typically get caught out.
Our mission
To make owning private-company equity as easy to understand and manage as owning public shares — so you always know what you have, what it means for you, and what you need to do next.
